calling procedures

If I put a procedure library into favorites, it will expand so I can easily add procedure calls, but if it is in the iTest explorer, it doesn't expand. It should act the same in both places!

I want to be able to easily add calls to procedures without having to promote all the libraries to favorites.

Yes, we've talked about this off and on.  The debate has been over the question of mixing metaphors.  The iTest Explorer view is meant to strictly show you the folders and files in your workspace.  If you can expand a test case and see the procedures inside it (or a testbed to see the devices in it, etc.) then this could cause some confusion on that front.  On the other hand, what you point out is very reasonable as well.  And it's also fair to say that Favorites should strictly be a subset of things from your full workspace -- so why can I do/see more with them than in iTest Explorer?

(We also face an issue with the External Projects view as well -- which are not inside the workspace and therefore cannot go into Favorites, but also does not support expanding to see objects inside the files in those external projects.  But that's another issue...)

In summary, we'll take a look at this and see how to improve the use case you are talking about.

Well, and from a practical point of view, Favorites and iTest Explorer share the same vertical pane, and so making one larger means making the other smaller. I guess you could put them together as tabs, or next to each other, but that just trades one problem for the other.

Of course, you are free to move them around yourself all you want.  You can organize your perspectives however they make the most sense for you.  All that we do is provide an initial default layout of these views.
