I've also been running iTest 3.4 and 4.0 on Windows 7 for some months now.  I've seen no problems (after a display problem with the original iTest installer was fixed).

Well, we're at a "future version", and windows 7 is still not supported, according to the current support docs. And most of our PCs are going to Windows 7.

It does seem to mostly work, but it's not a very comfortable position to be in. Any idea when this will be supported?

Eclipse project is going to support Windows 7 this fall in their 3.6 release. We will try to see if we can get that incorporated in a version of iTest after that time.

Having said that, I have been running personally iTest on Windows 7 for last 6 months and have very occasionally noticed graphics issues (once in a few months) - and these are very minor - e.g. a tree view may not show all the items - but if you close the view and open the view again, the items are displayed correctly.

Thanks, I'm glad to know that the problems are minor and cosmetic. I just don't want to have to worry if I see some new issue if it is really because of windows 7.

I wrote my response initially because I had just come back from that particular rabbit hole: "Oh, this is different than when I ran it before. I just went to windows 7. Maybe it is because I went to windows 7." Of course, it turned out to not be windows, but I didn't want to have to add that step to all my troubleshooting.

Windows 7 is not a supported operating system for iTest 3.4.

Even though you could install it and it may work for certain features but please note that this is not a supported OS.

Even installer may have some GUI issues on Windows 7.

iTest should work "reasonably" well on Windows 7 - though there are some cosmetic and annoying issues with certain GUI components. If you are willing to live with that, you can give it a try. I have been running iTest 3.4 on Windows 7 for past few months and other than a few annoying "paint" issues, everything works properly on my machine. Of course - itestcli headless mode and itestrt will work without any issues because they do not fire up the iTest GUI.

When you first run the installer, you may find that certain radio buttons are invisible - but you can click on the text and iTest should install fine.

We are fixing some of these issues in a future version of iTest.
