i don't want to export the test report into file.
i want the ability to rename a test report to something else.
for example: can i rename "template_test1" to "debug_template_test1"?

If you need too add some custom information for all test reports generated by some particular system then you can use Test Report Tags. For example for "debug" runs you can set Subgroup tag to "debug" on your machine (see attached screen shot). You can find Test Report Tags setting under Window->Preferences->Fanfare->General->Test Reports->Test Reports Tags
yup but that's not wha i want. i want the ability to tag per test report, not per machine.
using tags makes it much easier to share test reports to my team members in india. instead of telling them the machine the test is run on), the name of hte testcase (the test mite have been run dozens of times) and the timestamp, i can simply tag the testcase, and have him search the tag in databased.
using comments/notes allows us to share/log the debugging status. there are times where regression is run in india but the testers are here. and joint effort is needed to debug the testcase or devices. having a way to comment right there in the test report database saves us the trouble of keeping a separate file to log the status because everything is in one location.
is it possible to request "tagging and commenting per test report" as feature enhencement?

Do you mean the test case name of the test report? Currently we don't have a way to change that.
i'd like to request that as a feature enhancement. if not possible, at least a way to add notes/comments

Is this something that you want/need to be able to do on a regular basis?
The reason I ask, is that if you are using a central DB, we could help create a DB Session with QuickCalls that could rename test reports for you. Not as a final solution, but as something to use until the feature request is processed.
From the FR side of things, I'm curious about the reason for wanting to change the test report name? The name in the TR is actually the file name based on the test case name. Is it that you really want to have user "tagable"/"editable" fields that can be associated with a test report? How do you use the name field? And how will changing the name field help what you're doing? This will help us come up with a solution that might be even better than simply renaming a tr.
