iTest 8.x in docker??

Hi all,

can iTest 8.x be launched in docker? We would like to start iTest tests in CI/CD pipelines and would like to start iTest in docker. Is there a way? Is container maybe already available or we need to create our own one? If we need to create our own container are there any instructions about that?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Samo

1) Using Velocity in CI/CD testing is the richest solution. There is an example of this on https://developer.spirent.com ; just search for "Jenkins"

2) Second best solution would be to utilize the NetDevOps agent, which is available as a Docker container

Hi all, thanks for this answers :)

But we don't have Velocity tool or the license for it.
We still need to check this NetDevOps agent. Has somebody maybe done this already? Are there any instructions available? That would really help.

I was hoping for some simple solution like installing iTest into docker and simply running it in headless mode or something like that.

Thanks again for all the help.

Samo

Velocity is NOT required to use NetDevOps Agent. There is a manual for the agent. Just go to download page then select iTest/Velocity, and Docker as your filter. When you see "Network DevOps Agent Container on Ubuntu 20.04, v8.5.0 for Docker" click related resources for the documentation.
