unable to resolve host in Landslide virtual configuration (KVM)

I installed Landslide virtual on KVM (running on Ubuntu) and when I log in for the first time, I get the message to configure the management por and TAS IP, I select yes, but then I get the error:

"sudo: unable to resolve hist osGenericU1404"

and then I can't do anything else. If I do:

"sudo ipcfg"

I get the message: Sorry, cfguser is not allowed to execute '/usr/local/bin/ipcfg' as root on osGenericU1404

Did anyone face this?

in the file /etc/hosts I found the host osU1404 but if I do "cat /etc/hosts" I can't edit it, and the user cfguser doesn't have permissions to do it.

Hi @NMOLINERO,

osGenericU1404 is the default host name for new vTAS/TS, cfguser should have all the required permissions and SU should not be necessary to complete ipcfg for initial configuration. The fasted way to resolve this issue is click the "New Support Case" link on the top right of the Spirent CSC (Customer Service Center online - http://support.spirent.com) and open a new SR. Please provide information on your virtual environment and paste in the complete console messaging into the description.
