How to configure or check spirent testcenter automation API port?

I want to use Spirent TestCenter API for some performance test automation. How can I determine which port spirent is listening on for the stcrestclient from spirent CLI or some configuration file?
Or How can I configure specific port on STC box that can listen from stcrestclient?

Currently, the python API client tries to connect on default STC port 80 and it fails.

Pardon, I have is a related question, not an answer :).

I'd like to start experimenting with Spirent REST API; I already created an account. But where I can find the above mentioned "Getting_Started_with_REST_API.pdf"? What is that "doc set" one is supposed to download?

@Oleg , avoid asking questions in the Answer section of another post-- most of the time, these questions will likely be lost. Next time I suggest you just start up a new question.

I did a search at the top of the CSC for "stc getting started rest api" and it was the first result. Give it a go...

@Steve So finally I was able to narrow down the issue that my python script is not able to connect to Chassis port 40004 (default for STC automation) and this is because I don't have an STC server application running on my chassis VM.

Could you please guide which application I need to install on my linux chassis VM? Also, do I have to buy a license for that or that comes along with the STC license? Please share cost and other details as well.

You should be able to create an account on the CSC and download the doc set without license.

Once you have a login to http://support.spirentcom.com/ you can download the doc set and look at Getting_Started_with_REST_API.pdf

Note: The Spirent Chassis is "not" a ReST-API server, you would need to use stcweb or a Lab-Server (note the stcweb or Lab-Server is not a spirent chassis either)
