Avalanche C100, How can I see CPU resource itself.

Hi,

I'm using Avalanche C100 with Avalanche commander 4.4, and testing DUT's SSL TPS.

I'm wondering if I can see CPU resources per cores on C100 box.

(seems copper interfaces are using only a core, and cannot handle hard encryption/decryption in this situation(I know SFP+ are able to assign 2+ cores..), so I want to calculate precisely how/when cpu resources are being consumed)

Does anyone know the way how to see current cpu usage on the avlanche itself.

Thank you,

Hi,

On C100-AV, only 1 core is allocated per each 1G (copper) port.
For analyzing the Avalanche hardware resource usage during the test, please refer to the Spirent KB article FAQ13285 .

"Received Queue Length" in Run > Monitor > Run-Time Stats and the "Idle time" in Run > Load > Load Generator Status are the two main reference points to check the CPU usage.

  • Received Queue Length displays the status of all core summary for client and/or server side ports.
  • Idle time displays per core resource usage of the client side ports.

Hi motsu,

Understood like that function(showing cpu/memory bottleneck) was already available...

Thanks for your help!
