can we create a single itar of multiple projects (main project + dependent projects) ?

itestrt is unable to read response map from dependent project, it seems it is because it creates separate itars for them & gives error Unable to map the XML response: no valid XML found.

it might get resolved if we create single tar for that, which has all the response map embedded in it

Hi Bhavani,

Above mentioned command creates multiple itar's not single itar.

We can only create a single itar folder of multiple projects, but not the single itar file.

Appreciate your understanding!

Yes. We can create a single itar folder of multiple projects (main project + dependent projects).

Attached document.zip contains the steps to create a single itar files of multiple projects.

We could export itar files dynamically from command line using itestcli. Below is the command for your reference:

itestcli -w <work space location> -expr <project to export in to itars> -expa <path where the itars need to be exported>

Hi Subbarao, iTestRT should work even if the main and dependent projects are different iTAR, as long as the dependent file is properly added and exported. We should follow the "Add Dependent" option when exporting the project and use iTestRT to execute. If we select the "Add Dependent" option, then it will automatically select the dependent projects to export. Attached are the screenshots for your reference. mainproject-ingui.jpg, adddependent.jpg
