How to use External Browser in linux

How can I use other browser (not internal) from iTest-linux. I verified the session profile settings and all the preference options, but not found for other browser options that working fine. And surprising thing is that I am getting "Internet explorer" as other browser to access in Linux. My basic concern: 1. If I can,how to use other browsers in linux? Can we use other than IE in win OS?? 2. How many and which browsers are actually tested as working smooth? iTest:4.1.2, OS: redhat 5,Ubuntu 10,FC 6

I am assuming you are trying to use the "web application" for testing a web page, if that is correct - read on, else ignore.

On linux, only the internal browser is supported. Selecting an external browser will just cause the test/session to fail. The only external browser that is supported is Internet Explorer, unfortunately you can't run IE on linux under normal circumstances.

Could you please take a look at supported browsers for iTest in "Interoperability" document (you should be able to get this document from support). If you are using browser which is not listed in document, please contact support to file a feature request.
