To ignore control plane traffic in Rx counter

Hello All, Is there any way to ignore control plane traffic in Tx/Rx Basic port counters? In Basic traffic result, when RIP update is received, Rx is incremented by 1. Is there a way to ignore that packet in Rx increment? Regards, Ruban
