Spirent TestCenter:- How to upgrade the chassis using Web Browser?

Hi All, As we know that we can upgrade the chassis using web browser so I just want confirmation on the below query. Whenever customer upgrades the chassis using web browser with any release and if that release is not available under download tab. Will it take the release from the Archived Releases? I think it should be the same, can someone please confirm it. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thank you, Sandip Patil

What do you mean upgrade chassis from web browser? What URL?

Do you want to upgrade a chassis or download the applciation from a chassis? See below for an answer if you want to download the application from a chassis.

Upgrading a chassis needs the files from the CSC. The instructions are on the CSC. Yes, you can go to the Archive Releases if you don't see the version needed. Once the chassis is upgraded, and you want to install the application on another PC, you can bring up the chassis IP on a web browser and download the application from there. It would probably be faster than downloading it again from the CSC. I suppose you could also copy the original download to a shared drive.

Even I couldn't see any options to upgrade a chassis using web browser. An upgrade/Downgrade can only be done using GUI application after downloading corresponding firmware files from CSC. Web browser can be used to download GUI installer only.

For released versions the STC application can be downloaded from a chassis. 1. Browse to the chassis IP 2. Click on the “Download Spirent Test Center Application” link under the Getting Started section 3. Download the installer and install it on your workstation If the link is not active you are using an engineering build that has not been released to the field.
