how multiple user can access the same STC process

In the TCL frame work which is used in my project, currently only one user can access the STC process. I would like to know if multiple user can simultaneously access the same STC process running in one remote machine to enable or disable streams?

Using the Lab Server (LS), multiple users can access the same STC processes. However, there are some important limitations (It's been a while since I've used it, but this is what I recall). - a user can connect to an LS process as either an observer (read-only), or as a controller (read-write). There can only be 1 controller process at any given time. - a Tcl script connecting to an LS process will always connect as a controller. The STC GUI allows the user to select their role when they connect. So, to answer your question, multiple users can connect to the same LS process, but only 1 of those users at a time can modify the config. Hope that helps!

I believe it's possible to connect multiple controllers but it's then up to the user to make sure they don't modify the config simultaneously. It's possible to shoot yourself in the foot like this.

I do recall someone mentioning adding a "multi-controller" feature, so it appears they have implemented it. Shooting oneself in the foot, indeed :)
