How to configure INFORM option and Timers for DHCP client ?
Please take a look at the screenshot from N2X GUI: ![alt text][1] We need to configure the all DHCP options and Timers in STC GUI. But we could NOT find the respective options. Just FYI, The discover and request option in custom options. And if I am NOT wrong 'Retransmit attempts" is the similar option with RetryAttempts in STC. The description as follows: setupInterval -- Interval between sending DISCOVER packet for each session retransmitTimeout -- Initial timeout duration before retransmitting. retransmitAttempts -- Maximum attempts before the client stops retransmitting. releaseInterval -- Interval between sending RELEASE packet for each session Please take a look and suggest. In GUI, these can be configured under the Port settings. (The port on which DHCP Clients are configured) Names are different, but the parameters can be used for above requirements. Inform is the same level ad Discover and Request. The custom options are options that are added into DHCP Discover and/or Request messages. How about using the raw streamblock to create the Inform message. ![alt text][1] [1]: /storage/temp/4278-dhcpinform.png
Thanks, Sreerag. Yes I already configured the discover and request option through the custom settings but NOT sure the "Dscover and request" option is same to "INFORM" option or NOT. Its OK. Thanks again.
No we cant create a raw steramblock to achieve this. It is disturbing the configuration.
