How to force return of iTest license?

Running iTest 4.3. With a windows license server with floating licenses. The host that is listed in the license server log as having a license checked out to it is not able to run iTest as it does not seem to know itself that it has a license. So we have the license server showing that the license is checked out, and we have a host that can't run because when it contacts the license server no licenses are available. How do you manually revoke a license checkout from the license server? Is there anything else we can do to resolve this issue? Thanks for the help. Mike

Please run the command `c:\spirent>lmutil.exe lmstat -a`. It will display the number of licenses issued, how many are in use and who are using, as shown in the above example. With this information try running the command: lmutil lmremove [-c licfile] -h feature host port handle Here: feature = iTest license module name host = Host name or IP address of the iTest user port = License server port number handle = For each license module checkout there is a separate handle. In the above example 402 is the handle. ![alt text][1] [1]: /storage/temp/3833-license.jpg

The host that had the license checked out was a vm that has been deleted. So we really need to find out how to recover/revoke the license. The output of the server log shows: 12:06:30 (spirentd) OUT: "ITESTENTERPRISE" admin@itest 12:06:30 (spirentd) UNSUPPORTED: "ITESTIXEXPLORER" (PORT_AT_HOST_PLUS ) admin@itest (License server system does not support this feature. We can try removing the licenses by using the command: lmutil lmremove [-c licfile] -h feature host port handle Example based on the below log: lmutil lmremove -c -h ITESTENTERPRISE WIN-xxxxxx 27000 402 Users of ITESTENTERPRISE: (Total of 1 licenses issued; Total of 1 licenses in use) "ITESTENTERPRISE" v2015.01, vendor: spirentd floating license Administrator WIN-xxxxxx WIN-xxxxxx (WIN-xxxxxx/27000 402), start Tue 1/7 21:13 If the issue is still exists, please share the license server log and mention the host details from which the licenses need to be revoked.
