Spirent TestCenter C1 10G Firmware upgrade failure
Facing a failure while trying to upgrade the C1 10G firmware from 4.33 to 4.36. (Hence the base OS upgrade not required, correct?) [bll.log][1] Things that we already tried 1. Upgrade over network - failed to transfer tarball file error and upgrade fails (checksum error in bll log) 2. Upgrade over network with a different copy of firmware file - same error and fails 3. Upgrade over a direct connection to chassis, with MS Windows Firewall & Antivirus disabled - same error and fails 4. Upgrade over a direct connection to chassis using a different copy of firmware file - same error and fails 5. Multiple reboots of PC and C1 I have attached a copy of bll log, I am not sure how this checksum error could be there with different copies of firmware files. [1]: /storage/temp/3769-bll.log
It seems we have to re-image the base OS of C1 with that provided along 4.36 version. Once that is done, we can upgrade the firmware too. This is because, 4.33 was a TestCenter only release but 4.36 has L4-7 added
