Unable to update session profile "" not found

When I execute the test case, a window opens for me to update the prompts. However, when I click Finish, I get an error: > Unable to update session profile "device:uut1" not found. However, I can manually edit the session profile to add the prompts, I can do so successfully and at the next execution, I no longer get an error. So my question is, why can't I do it automatically using the wizard instead of receiving an error?

I think this is a iTest bug. Where do you get the test case? I think iTest will update the prompts when you are in capture procedure.

If you could share us details like iTest version that you are using, Error screen shot and Testcase it will help in providing you better solution.

I am able to replicate this error in iTest 4.2.2 and 4.1 as well. It seems byan statement is correct. Steps I tried to reproduce it: 1. Add a device in a topology and add session "telnet/SSH" do not associate any reference session profile. 2. Create a new testcase, associate the topology and add commands manually and execute the testcase. 3. While executing the test, it will ask to learn the prompts, click OK to go to next step. 4. Once the execution get finished, prompts wizard will pop-up asking to save the prompts in device. 5. Click on Finish and the below error will appear. ![alt text][1] If we capture the steps directly by starting the session from topology then the error is not appearing and prompts are saving successfully. Hi Thudang I could not reproduce your issue on iTest 4.2.2GA. Could you provide your video to me? Hi nagesh Could you make sure you used 4.2.2 GA release?

Hi Byan, I have also re-produced this issue in iTest 4.2.2 GA. This issue happens when there are no prompts associated to the session for the device as well as there are no prompts available in the reference session profile. Please try the points which was suggested by Nagesh and you will be able to re-produce it. Regards, Sandeep NV

I'm using iTest 4.1.3. I notice that if I use a *.fftb file instead of a *tbml file, the prompts are saved okay. I would prefer to use the *tbml file instead as I like the diagram for the lab setup. I can send a video recording if that would be helpful.
