Can't save capture via IxNetwork GUI
I use iTest for ixNetwork , below error when i try to save capture file : IxNetwork /vport:1/capture> save capture "Ethernet - 001" project://pn28089/tmp_test_cases/capture.cap Failed to invoke method copyFile from object IxNetwork TCL API reported the following error; note that the error message may refer to elements in the IxNetwork GUI ::ixNet::ERROR-Default inst. iTest version : 4.2.1 , IxNetwork : 7.0.801.25 EA , IxOS: 6.40.900.6 EA who can resolve my question , please !!
We get this error in different cases like if the capture is not started properly or any setting is wrong in the configuration file etc. Sometimes it may shows that "Successfully started capture" even though the capture is not started correctly! ![alt text][1] Ex: IxNetwork /> start capture Port 'Ethernet - 001' is in improper rxMode. Skipped. Port 'Ethernet - 002' is in improper rxMode. Skipped. Successfully started capture Please attach the "start capture" console log. To make sure the start capture command is started successfully or not. If it is started successfully, you would be able to observe its data item named "Ethernet - 001" - Data under capture tree on the ixNetwork GUI. Also try by changing the "Receive mode" to "Capture" instead of "Measure Flow" on which interfaces/ports you would like to capture and save the capture in IxNetwork GUI. Note: iTest 4.2.1 is not officially supports IxNetwork 7.0 and IxOS 6.4. It supports till IxNetwork 6.30 and IxOS 6.30. [1]: /storage/attachments/3479-receive%20mode.png
