During test case execution, if the channel becomes idle and the text on the line is not a defined prompt, then the status bar presents a Learn this prompt link. When you click the link, the Learn Prompt dialog box enables you to tell Spirent iTest that the text is a prompt. ![alt text][1] [1]: /storage/temp/3454-prompts_27_05_1.jpg If you click OK to identify the text as a prompt, then the test case result is unchanged and execution continues immediately with the next step and you will not face this Learn Prompt dialog box next time for that particular prompt.

thanks but I obtained the same behaviour, no possibility to save the prompt

Once we click OK on "Learn this prompt" dialog box, the selected prompt will be learned. After the completion of the execution of captured steps, a "Update session profile wizard" will pop-up immediately asking to add the learned new prompts in the session profile. Click on Finish. And the saved prompts you see under session properties->More->Prompts in the session profile. ![alt text][1] ![alt text][2] Could you please check whether the learned prompts saved in your session profile or not.
