Feature group of iTest SDK plugins fails to install

After installing our plugins, the following error comes up in iTest

An error occured while committing the engine session for profile: profile.

-

- - Error saving manipulator.

Excerpt from stack trace:

java.io.FileNotFoundException: c:\Program Files\Spirent Communications\iTest v4.2\configuration\org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator\bundles.info (Acccess is denied)

Internet searches have not come up with any clues on whether this is related to the plugin or the underlying Eclipse platform.

Hi,

I believe problem is due to insufficient file permissions are set to the configuration folder in iTest 4.2. If you are not given full permissions (read/write) to the configuration folder please give full permissions and try again and let me know the result.

Thanks

I've checked and my user account has full control over this folder.

I tried running iTest from within Eclipse with all of my plugin projects closed, and the run configuration updated to pull in the installed versions of my plugins from the iTest directory.  Weirdly everything loaded correctly with no errors, however when I tried launching iTest on its own the error still occurred.  Is there a difference in the way Eclipse launches iTest as opposed to launching iTest on its own?

Solved it.  Parts of the iTest install folder were set to read-only.  Is this caused by the installer?

This behaviour has been checked on a second PC with a fresh install, also has read only parts of the install folder.
