Ixia Traffic: packet latency measurements

How do I get latency and packet sequence measurements for IxiaTraffic? Is this done through the IxTclHal API?

This would be the equivalent on IxExplorer of setting the port receive mode to "Packet Groups" and "Sequence Checking", and starting the counters from the IxExplorer Latency view while receiving  traffic.

Any examples would greatly be appreciated.

A quick note, though, that if desired you can do anything with the Ixia TCL package using the eval command.  The command "eval someIxiaCommand" will run that Tcl Command.  Like Hosoon said, though, we should be able to provide an example shortly.

Please see attached sample test.

Note that first you need to generate Tcl Script configuration via ScriptGen.

Also you will need to modify the ixia session profile to point your chassis and proper card/port set and some of the portList and argument accordingly for your Ixia chassis configuration.

Test case show you how what ixia TclAPIs to use for your problem.

iTest only supports basic commands in its interactive command session, and not all of the ixExplorer UI operation will be supported.

You can always use ixTcl API to acheive any ixExplorer operation using the TclAPI. In some case, it's not going to be trivial and you may need support from Ixia.

Anyway, hopefully this sample test will get you started on solving latency test within iTest.

Thanks,
