BEST PRACTICE: When your test cases contain traffic gen commands, make them portable

iTest ensures that traffic gen cards and ports can be variable. So if your chassis ip/ports change, you can just update the session profile with new information and it should work fine. The caveat is that the number of ports and card types should be the same as in the original session profile. E.g. if you replace “12:1,12:3” with “1:4,2:4” it would work fine as long as new cards are of same type.

Here is a sample test case demonstrating the parameters for ports defined in session profile.
