"Checking packet decode functionality" remain in executing....

Hi to all, I'm a new iTest user.

I want to control Ixia Traffic with my iTest: I tried this forum and the help, but I'm still not able to connect to the Ixia instrument. Here below there is the report: operation remains blocked during "Checking packet decode functionality" operation:

Using external tcl interpreter

Hi,

If you have installed iTest using installer , iTest will install the packet decoding functionality applications in the system
"Checking packet decoding functionality" means it is looking for the Wireshark("text2pcap" and "tshark" executables) on the machine.

I would suggest to install iTest in your system to see if you still have this problem?

Hi Vidya,

yes the first time I used the iTest installar de-selecting wireshark.

Now I have just installed again iTest selecting all the applications on wireshirk wizard session: finally I'm able to connect to my Ixia Traffic chassis.
