I have a problem wherein the response of a particular command can be either in table form or pattern form.
How can the response map be used for the responses which can be either table form of pattern form ?
In the overview tab of the response map file, within mapping technologies for structured responses it is clearly mentioned that Text form uses any one of the structured response. So i dont think it is possible for both table and pattern form responses within one using test form of mapping.
Please help.....

Hi Darapandhodi,
It is possible to have both the table and pattern mapping in a single response.
You can select both the table and pattern mappings in the overview tab. Select the data for which you want pattern mapping and add create pattern under the pattern tab and select the table data by choosing Table Tab and create table.
Please let me know how it goes!!
Yes I have done that thing, means i have created a table response as well as pattern response within a single response file using different samples for pattern and table response. But the problem is after running the command, the response considered is table form only even if pattern is the response given by the command.
It takes only the table form for any response format. The pattern is not able to be mapped only to the response.
Hi,
Is there any possibility to send us the response map file that you have been created.
We will check it and let you know where it goes wrong.
Thanks,
Venkat.
