Unable to work with IE

I've defined a web session with a base URL and IE as the capture and replay browser. When I start it a blank IE window opens up and it doesn't navigate to the desired page. It works fine with the built-in browser. Do i needd to configure any setting?

I have given the credentials. Generally I can access websites. The IE version is 6.0. Except the localhosts everything else goes through a proxy server so could that be the problem?

iTest only supports IE 7.0 which may be the root cause to your problem.

Hi, did iTest 3.4 support IE8.0 now?

No, iTest 3.4 supports IE 7

thanks for the answer. I am wondering is there any way to get iTest work with IE 8?

Not at the moment.  I will add a feature request for IE 8 support.

 

For now you should be able to test on IE 7 and on the Mozilla Firefox based interal browser.

Does your URL need HTTP credentials? If so, please provide them in the session profile.

Can you access any other URL using IE, like http://www.google.com? Make sure you are using full url. 

What version of IE is installed on your machine?
