unable to capture Righ Click in SWING session and trigger sub-sequent menu pop-up

Hi to all,

iTest 4.0.2 + patches:

Using SWING session, I am not able to capture the right-click on a selected object in order to trigger the one menu entry of the pop-up menu displayed.

See the 'popup_menu' &  'popup_menu2' screen shots.

- First one is done on a selected object in a Java list

- second one is done a the headline first cell of a Java list

In iTest we only have the capture of the righ-click done but nothing else is captured on the pop-up menu and there is no way to trigger sub menu from this initial righ click.

See the 'iTest_capture' screen shot.

Can you please help me?

Hi Philip,

Right click option does not work in swing session. For that purpose you can use shift+right click.

You can use Ctrl+right-click for highlighting the components in the Swing session window

Thanks,

Amresh

Hi Amresh,

Thanks a lot for Shift+RightClick.

I succeeded to capture the activation of the pop-up menu (associated ContextMenu command observed in Capture area).

I will try to run the captured part to check if the it can be executed and I will let you know for the result I get.

With respect to the 'CTRL+RighClick' sequence, I am not sure it has to be used for the pop-up menu capture.

We use it to perform a getTable on some Java array (table).

Thanks

Best regards

Philippe

I think native capture is not supported for context items specific to items in a table. You can, however, capture it via the swing control panel.

Let me confirm and get back to you.
