subversion problems?

I got a bunch of subversion log messages; it seems it is trying to contact update@plugins?

!ENTRY org.eclipse.osgi 2 0 2008-12-19 13:14:02.037

!MESSAGE While loading class "org.tigris.subversion.subclipse.core.resourcesListeners.TeamPrivateListener$1", thread "Thread[Worker-3,5,main]" timed out waiting (5000ms) for thread "Thread[Worker-7,5,main]" to finish starting bundle "update@plugins/org.tigris.subversion.subclipse.core_1.4.1.jar [189]". To avoid deadlock, thread "Thread[Worker-3,5,main]" is proceeding but "org.tigris.subversion.subclipse.core.resourcesListeners.TeamPrivateListener$1" may not be fully initialized.

Hmm. Restarted iTest, and it went away. Most peculiar.

I've seen a variety of rather bizarre behavior at times using the subversion support in Eclipse/iTest.  I recently got software updates for the subversion stuff and haven't seen problems since then.  No guarantees, but it might be worth looking for updates (via Help > Software Updates...) for the Subversion stuff.

Subversion plugin which we ship with iTest is an open source subversion plugin for Eclipse provided by "tigris.org". It is called "subclipse". If you have problems with this plugin, you should be able to file a bug by going to subclipse.tigris.org site. As Paul mentions, you can also trying getting the latest version of this plugin from their site. Each release of iTest we do update this plugin to the latest version - but if you are using an older version of itest, updating this plugin may be a good idea.

Another possible solution is to use "subversive" - a competing plugin for SVN integration for eclipse. To use this, you can disable the "subclipse" feature in iTest and install "subversive" plugin from the subversive project update site. Since subversive is now an official eclipse project, iTest may ship with subversive instead of subclipse in some future version. The UI for both these plugins are nearly similar.
