License server Lost communications with lmgrd Exit reason 5

 

Running license server on Solaris.

Have been seeing multiple instances of lmgrd going down and following being seen in log file:

 

 0:48:34 (fanfare) Lost communications with lmgrd.
Socket disconnected by remote.
Exiting.
 0:48:34 (fanfare) EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 39 Exit reason 5

 

What are the reasons for the Signal 39 Exit reason 5?

This turns out to be a common problem with FLEXnet 11.4 on Solaris.  We have a new version of the license server based on 11.6 which should not have this problem.  Please contact support or your sales representative to get upgraded.
