FYI You can't use node locked license (license file) when you accessing iTest using VNC, Remote Desktop etc. If this is your case then this is the reason why you can't check out the license.
When using a node-locked license file you cannot be on Remote Desktop, as mentioned previously, and that license file can only be used on the machine that it was issued for. Otherwise you will have to use a floating license.
hi all,
I am using the license file present in my system.I amnot having remote desktop access.
I am using Windows 7.Is that a problem foe that?other systems are using XP,working fine
Need a couple of information regarding this..
1.Which version of iTest you are using?
2. is your vpn up?
Please make sure in the Newfolder save the license file only.
Thanks Sreekamth.
I put the only license file in that folder & it works.
Can anybody say me how to get that ffhostid??
Livein,
You need to go to the following location and type the ffhostid command in-order to get the ffhotid.
C:\Program Files\Fanfare\iTest xxx\plugins\com.fnfr.svt.configuration.licensing.flexlm.nativeprovider.win32_4.0.0.xxxxxxx\flexlm
Then you will be able to get the ffhostid.
Thanks,
Venkat
Hi Livein,
As you are telling that this license file is used by other user.
Could you please confirm, whether the license file is generated for that user or for your machine.
Because the license file is based on the system ffhostid. If the license file hostid matches with the system hostid, then only you will be able to check out the license.
Thanks,
Gayathri.
