Shenick DiversifEye patch instalation

Hello,

I'm running iTest 4.0 and trying to apply patch for Shenick DiversifEye session profile. I recieved two .jar files (com.fnfr.svt.adapter.automation.tools.common_4.0.0.51434.jar, com.fnfr.svt.adapter.automation.tools.execution_4.0.0.49612.jar) which need to be replaced in iTest/plugin directory. After doing so, nothing really happens. No error reported when starting iTest, but also no Shenick session profile.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Samo

Hi Samo,

Yes, you would not see any visual difference. The patch was for a bug which would not allow you to use Test Case Editor because of a performance issue.

To verify the patch is working, create a new Session profile and set the application to "Shenick". Theoratically, if you can see this, the patch is applied successfully. But if you really want to confirm it, use the session profile to connect to a chassis and create a test case out of it. If you are able to click on Shenick steps in Test Case Editor without your CPU pegged to 100%, the patch is working fine.

Hi,

my problem was that I could not find proper Shenick plug-in installation files. But as I found out, they were stored on a Shenick chassis all along.

I successfully installed the patch because I can use Test editor. But working with Shenick test case is far from normal, even with patch applyed. There are still performance issues, for every step you make the step validation process is taking so much time (few seconds!). It's really annoying to edit such test case compared to other (non shenick) test cases.

Are you working on some additional performance patches?
