How to remove a linger license error message

Hi,

 

we are getting the the following error message while trying to remove the license

Cannot remove a linger license

 

We would like to know

what is linger license

How to attach linger license

How to remove linger license.

According to FlexLM documentation lingering is defined as follows.

 

A lingering license stays checked out for a specified period of time beyond its checkin or FLEXenabled application exit, whichever comes first.

 

lmremove doesn’t remove the linger licenses. Lingering license comes into picture when we borrow the licenses.

 

The linger value is shown in seconds and we have to wait that many number of seconds to for the license get released or the person who has borrowed the licenses has to return the borrowed licenses.
